The battle between Pleasure Bay Lounge and the I.A. Restaurant for first place in the South Boston Softball League is due to be settled on Monday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the Christopher Lee Playground, M Street.

Bob "Chick" Noonan, who won the MVP award in this year's all-star game, will pitch against Ed Bonano of the I.A., who was last year's MVP.

As of this writing, both teams are tied with identical 13-3 records. Pleasure Bay has been paced by the heavy hitting of Jimmy Ridge, Noonan and Bob Prendergast. Steady hitters for I.A. include Dom Gentile, Rocky DiLorenzo, Tom Murphy, and John Dailey.

Representative Raymond Flynn, league commissioner, urges all fans to come to M Street Park for nightly double headers, starting at 6:30. More games have been tightly contested in the best softball league in Boston.
