The South Boston Softball League all-star game will be held tonight at 6:15pm at the Christopher Lee plaground announced league president Ray Flynn. Fred Melchione, manager of the Lower End all-stars, is expected to call on Mike Sheehan to oppose Bob "Chick" Noonan on the mound for City Point. The game will be the first of its kind in South Boston, and already interest has risen to great heights. Most of the players are ex-South Boston High athlete stars who maintain the sense of competition traditional in the district.
