 (5) Shea's Tavern (7-9)
vs
 (3) Roza Lyons (7-9)
Game 1: Tuesday, Aug. 27 @ 7:15

Shea's Tavern 14 - Roza Lyons 10

If game one was any indication of how this final series is going to play out, then we are in for a long drawn out dogfight folks. Shea's Tavern struck first in the opening inning when Alex Bergeron sent a three-run bomb onto First Street, 3-0.

Roza responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning on JJ Barrett's two-run double, 3-2. The teams traded runs in the second inning, 4-3. Shea's Mike Ferrara (3 hits, 3 runs) homered in the top of the third to make it 5-3.

However, the game completely swung in the bottom of the third as Roza batted around the order and got a grand slam homerun from Anthony O'Leary, 8-5 Roza!

Then the pitchers took over the game - Will Murray and Patrick Cooke both threw scoreless fourth and fifth innings to keep the score the same, 8-5 Roza.

We moved to the top of the sixth where the game would do another 180 degree turn around - Shea's loaded the bases and then had some fun. When it was all said and done, they had banged out nine hits and scored SEVEN runs to take a 12-8 lead. Wow, talk about a dramatic shift.

Roza tried to regroup in the bottom of the sixth but could only scratch across two runs on triples by Bob Chmiel (4 hits, 3 runs) and Nick Hicks (4 hits, 2 runs), 12-10 Shea's. They were within striking distance but would need a hold in the seventh.

Shea's offense wouldn't allow it as Garrett Colantino (3 hits, 3 runs) singled and scored along with Carter Swaebe (3 hits) and Dylan Swaebe (3 hits), 14-10. Shea's Will Murray would then go out to the mound and retire the side for the game one victory. The wins won't come easy in this series folks.

Game 2: Wednesday, Aug. 28 @ 9pm

Roza Lyons 3 - Shea's Tavern 1

After dropping the opener, Roza Lyons was looking for a bounce back performance to even the series and they would get it from pitcher, Patrick Cooke, who pitched his best game possibly of his young softball career.

Cooke scattered nine hits and didn't walk a batter over the course of seven strong innings. His only blemish was in the third inning when Shea's Tavern strung three hits together and needed a sacrifice fly to scratch their lone run across the plate.

While Cooke was giving Roza everything he had, Shea's pitcher, Will Murray, was nearly matching him stride for stride. Murray deserved a better outcome as he gave up less hits (7) and would be a winner on most nights. It just wasn't tonight.

Bob Chmiel got the scoring started in the first when he connected for a solo home run, 1-0. The second inning was scoreless and we moved onto the third where Roza upped their lead. Anthony O'Leary got it started with a leadoff single. James Long followed with a one out double to put runners on second and third. With first base open, Shea's decided to pitch to the number eleven batter, Mark Geraurd, as it was early enough in the game. Geraud quickly made them regret that decision as he singled home both runs, 3-0.

Shea's got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third when Mike Dalessio singled and scored on Nick Oneil's sacrifice fly. Shea's would have to settle for just the lone run as the Roza defense had earlier cut down the leadoff hitter trying to stretch a double into a triple, 3-1.

That would be all of the scoring in this one as both pitchers threw shutout innings the rest of the way - they were outstanding!

Mike Ferrara led all hitters with three hits. The full series schedule was released as the series will resume on Tuesday at 7:15, Wednesday at 8:45, and Thursday at 7:15. Who wins the Feeney Cup? Stay tuned

Game 3: Tuesday, Sep. 3 @ 7:15

Shea's Tavern 8 - Roza Lyons 10

Shea's Tavern raced out to a 7-0 lead after an inning and a half, only to watch Roza Lyons come all the way back and steal game three.

After Mike Ferrara (3 hits, 2 RBI) and Nick Oneil (3 hits) had RBI hits in the five run first, Roza got a two run single by Nick Hicks (3 hits, 2 runs, 2 RBI) and a RBI double by Patrick Cooke (2 hits, HR, 4 RBI) to make it 7-4. Game three was already nothing like the pitching duel we saw in game two (4 total runs scored).

Ferrara doubled home another run in the fourth and it was looking like Shea's would hold on to the lead but that would dramatically turn in the bottom of the inning, 8-4. With coach Jake Thomas cheering and pushing his team to focus, Roza responded with a big inning.

James Long began the fourth with a towering home run to left, 8-5. Matt Morris singled, Hicks walked, and then Cooke smashed a three run home run to left to tie the game, 8-8. Roza wasn't done - Matt Prokop singled and took second on a fly out. Mike Cahill then got what turned out to be the game winning hit when he singled home Prokop, 9-8. Connor Meagher followed with a RBI hit and it was 10-8, the 180 was complete.

From there, it was in pitcher Pat Cooke's hands and he got better and better as the game wore on. In fact, after the first two innings where Shea's got to him for seven, Cooke allowed just four hits and one run. His counterpart, Will Murray, pitched well enough to win but Cooke and Roza was a little better in this one.

With Roza Lyons having the chance to clinch the championship, the Feeney Cup will be in the house. Game four should be a lot of fun. It will be broadcast live on Facebook - follow the "M Street Softball League" and look for this game around 840pm.

Game 4: Wednesday, Sep. 4 @ 8:45

Roza Lyons 10 - Shea's Tavern 8

With the score tied 8-8 and with plenty of his buddies in attendance, JJ Barrett shook off the nerves and delivered a two-run single in the top of the seventh to give Roza Lyons a lead that they would not relenquish.

Prior to Barrett's hit, there's a lot to unpack in this one. For the second game in a row, Shea's took an early lead. Ben Fischer (3 hits) doubled home a run in the bottom of the second and then scored on Quillen Bradlee's single. Later in the inning, Ryan Wynns homered to left center that put Shea's on top 5-1.

Roza responded in the top of the third when Matt Morris led off with a double and scored on Mike Cahill's double, 5-2. Patrick Cooke walked and Bob Chmiel singled to load the bases with nobody out. A couple of sacrifice fly's and a dropped ball in the outfield put Roza back on top, 6-5.

In the bottom of the fourth, Bradlee doubled and then scored the tying run on a RBI single by Mike Ferrara, 6-6. However, the tie didn't last long as Patrick Cooke led off the fifth with a towering homerun to left, 7-6 Roza!

Then we had some controversy in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on second and third, Bradlee hit a soft fly ball in front of the plate that hit off the catcher's glove and went over towards the bench area. Bradlee thought it was foul so he didn't run but the runner on third raced home. Eventually the catcher picked up the ball and threw to first for the third out but it was long after the runner had crossed the plate. The home plate umpire said the run counts and the batter is out at first. After a protest and a quick huddle with the second umpire, it was deemed the run doesn't count because it was a force play at first. When told the runners were on second and third, they reversed the call and we were tied 7-7. Further review of the rules states that the batter has to reach first base safley for the run to count.

Once again, Roza shook it off and quickly responded. Matt Prokop led off with a single and then James Long reached first on his third walk of the game. Mark Geraurd followed with a double and it was 8-7 Roza.

With their team owner, Robert "Bubba" Carney looking on, Will Murray led the bottom of the sixth off by reaching on an E6. Wynns (3 hits, HR) followed with a single and then Mike Dalessio singled home Murray and we were tied up again, 8-8. Shea's was looking for more as they had bases loaded with one out. Nick Oneil then hit a shallow fly to center that looked certain to fall for a hit - all the base runners were moving. However, Mark Geraurd made a sliding catch and then threw to second to double off the base runner for a double play. Mercy!

The top of the seventh arrived and Roza had a runner on first (Cahill) with two outs - Bob Chmiel singled and Nick Hicks walked to load the bases for Barrett. The second baseman singled threw the third and shortstop hole to plate two runs and Roza was back on top, 10-8!

In the bottom of the seventh Cooke quickly recorded the first two outs and then ran into trouble (it's never easy). Ben Fischer walked and then Bradlee reached on a throwing error wich put the tying runs in scoring position. With first base open and red hot Ryan Wynns on deck, the Roza crew decided to go after the batter. Their move paid off as Cooke produced a routine fly to center and that was the ball game - Roza Lyons are your 2024 Feeney League Champions.

After the game, it was announced that pitcher Patrick Cooke was named the playoff MVP. Cooke went 8-2 in the playoffs and lowered his ERA by a full run in the playoffs. Along with those impressive numbers, he also hit four homeruns and drove in nine runs. Congratulations - well done!

 (5) Shea's Tavern (7-9)
vs
 (1) The Greatest Bar (8-8)
Game 1: Monday, Aug. 12 @ 6pm

Shea's Tavern 13 - The Greatest Bar 10

Game one of this best of five semi-final series saw seven lead changes - if that's any indication of how well these two teams are paired then we are in for a long series.

With Shea's leading 9-7 in the bottom of the fourth, Adam Morgan (3 hits, HR) hit a leadoff home run to make it a one run game. The Bar wasn't finished scoring as we would see another lead change. With the bases loaded, Cody Demers (3 hits) tied the game with a sacrifice fly, 9-9. Sean Gatsogiannis then put the Bar in front with another RBI single, 10-9.

Shea's tied it up in the top of the fifth when Garrett Colantino (4 hits, 2 2B, HR, 3 runs) hit a two out double and then scored on Ryan Wynns single, 10-10.

At this point, neither pitcher was showing any signs of being able to slow the opposing team's attack. However, Will Murray did just that over the final three innings of play. Murray allowed just four singles while not allowing a runner past second base.

Meanwhile, with two outs and nobody on base, Colantino doubled again and scored on another Wynns single, 11-10. Mike Dalessio then doubled home Wynns, 12-10. Mike Ferrara (3 hits, 3 runs) followed with a RBI single making it 13-10. From there, Murray closed it out as Shea's takes game one.

Game 2: Monday, Aug. 12 @ 8pm (N Street)

The Greatest Bar 9 - Shea's Tavern 6

The Greatest Bar splits the doubleheader tonight and evens this best of five series up at a game apiece. Shea's Tavern had carried a 5-1 lead into the top of the fourth when Cory Wasylow (3 hits, 3 RBI) hit a three-run home run to move The Greatest Bar to within a run.

After a scoreless fifth, the Bar boys plated three runs in the top of the sixth to move ahead, 7-5. Shane O'Halloran and Wasylow had the key hits in the inning.

Pitching with the lead for the first time, Josh Boulos tossed his third straight scoreless inning as the momentum had shifted in this game.

The Greatest Bar added two more runs in the top of the seventh and then Boulos made quick work of Shea's in the bottom half of the inning and we had a tied series. Mike Nelson (3 hits) led the attack for Shea's who will look to bounce back in game three.

Game 3: Wednesday, Aug. 14 @ 815pm

Shea's Tavern 12 - The Greatest Bar 6

Shea's Tavern wasted little time getting the offense going in game three as the first six batters all reached with a hit and five of them scored, 5-0. Ryan Wynns (4 hits, 3 runs) and Mike Ferrara (3 hits, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI) played a pivotal role in the uprising.

The Greatest Bar fought back with a pair of runs in the first and second innings, 5-4. Devin Jensen went deep in the second which gave the Bar boys some hope.

After a scoreless third, Shea's countered with three more runs to make it 8-4. Ferrara and Alex Bergeron came through with clutch hits in the inning.

However, the Greatest Bar answered again in the bottom of the fourth with a pair of runs highlighted by Cory Wasylow's double, 8-6. That would be as close as they would get as Shea's pitcher, Mike Keough, found his best stuff when his team needed him the most. Keough tossed a scoreless fifth, sixth, and seventh inning to give Shea's the victory and a 2-1 series lead.

Game 4: Monday, Aug. 19 @ 815pm N Street

The Greatest Bar 8 - Shea's Tavern 9 (extra innings)

Mike Ferrara (3 hits, 3 runs) singled home Ryan Wynns in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Shea's the victory and a trip to the Feeney division championship. Before the walk off hit there was plenty to talk about in this one as we saw eight lead changes.

Shea's led 4-2 in the top of the fourth when Kyle Gavin (3 hits) drove in a pair of runs to tie it up, 4-4. However, an inning later Ferrara scored on Garrett Colantino's sacrifice fly to put Shea's back on top, 5-4.

With their season running out of sand, Ryan Sheldon led the sixth off with a triple and then scored the game tying run on Adam Morgan's sacrifice fly. The Greatest Bar made more noise in the inning but couldn't scratch across any more runs, 5-5.

The tied game moved to the seventh when the Bar boys thought they had it won. Gavin led off with a triple and scored on Josh Boulos' triple, 6-5. Cody Demers singled home Boulos and later scored on Shane O'Halloran's sacrifice fly, 8-5. They just needed three outs to force a game five.

Three straight singles loaded the bases for Nick Oneil who promptly doubled home a pair, 8-7. Now, the Greatest Bar were in trouble as Shea's had the winning run on second base with nobody out. They got a shallow fly and then cut a runner down at home - they were now an out away from tying the series. However, Garret Colantino once again came through in the clutch with a game tying single, 8-8.

We moved onto the eighth were Mike Keough quickly retired the side and then watched Mike Dalessio (4 hits, 3 runs) and teammates win the game and series. Robby McClean (4 hits) for The Greatest Bar.

 (3) Roza Lyons (7-9)
vs
 (2) Silkworms (8-8)
Game 1: Monday, Aug. 5 @ 6pm

Roza Lyons 14 - Silkworms 4

Roza Lyons sent twelve batters to the plate in the top of the third while scoring nine runs to pull well out in front here in game one of their semi-final series against the Silkworms. Anthony O'Leary (HR), Bob Chmiel (4 hits), Nick Hicks (HR), and Mike Cahill (3 hits, 2 2B) all contributed to the uprising.

On the other side, the Silkworms were having difficulty getting anything going against pitcher, Patrick Cooke. Through the first four inning, Cooke didn't allow a run, had only given up two hits, and had struck out three batters. Eventually, the Silkworms broke through when Ben Shmase hit a three-run homerun in the bottom of the fifth. Matt Needle added a solo shot in the sixth and that was it for the Worms against Cooke.

Game 2: Thursday, Aug. 8 @ 7pm

Silkworms 9 - Roza Lyons 12

Trailing 9-6 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, Roza Lyons flips the script and breaks the hearts of the Silkworms who were trying to tie this best of five series. With two runs already in, Nick Hicks smashed a three-run homerun to put Roza ahead 11-9. One out later, Bob Chmiel hit another home run and Roza was now in the driver's seat, 12-9.

With the conditions deteriorating due to the steady rain, Roza's pitcher, Patrick Cooke, took the mound in the seventh needing just three outs to secure the victory. Cooke gave up three hits in the frame but didn't allow a run giving Roza the 2-0 series lead.

Prior to the sixth, the Worms built their lead on the clutch performances of Matt Needle (3 hits, HR, 3 RBI) and Connor Whooley (3 hits, 2 runs). Pun intended, the Worms are now in a deep hole needing to win three straight games to advance to the Moran finals.

Game 3: Monday, Aug. 19 @ 715pm

Roza Lyons 13 - Silkworms 8

Roza Lyons erased a three run deficiet in the bottom of the fourth and then never looked back as they complete the three game sweep of the Silkworms and move onto the Feeney division championship.

Worm's Sean Dean (3 HR, 5 RBI) put his squad ahead in the first when he sent a ball onto First Street for three runs, 3-0. It took Roza four innings to get the offense going but Bob Chmiel (3 hits) did just that when he went deep for a solo home run, 3-1. The hits and runs kept coming as Matt Prokop (4 hits, 2 runs) and company put up another four runs to take a 5-3 lead.

Roza added a pair of runs in the fifth, another in the sixth to make it 8-4. With time running out on their season, the Worms fought back in the bottom of the sixth. With two outs and a runner on first, Dean hit his third home run of the game, 8-6. Greg Laubenstein singled which brought up Steve Lambe - with one swing we had a tied game, 8-8! The Worms were excited as victory was within reach.

However, Roza didn't panick and had the luxury of being ahead two games in the series. Chmiel led the top of the seventh off with single five others followed suit with base hits and just like that, Roza was back in front 13-8. Now it was up to pitcher Patrick Cooke to secure the victory. After a leadoff error, Cooke yielded a single but then retired three straight for the series clinching victory.

Roza moves onto the Feeney championship to face Shea's Tavern in a best of five series beginning next week. It should be a great one.

Game 1: Monday, Jul. 22 @ 6pm

Layla's 1 - The Greatest Bar 10

Josh Boulos pitched a clean first inning and then smoked a three run home run over the fence in left to put The Greatest Bar up 3-0 here in game one tonight. Boulos and the rest of his Bar teammates had it all going and looked very much looked like the team to beat in the Feeney division playoffs. Boulos tossed a two-hitter and homered again in the sixth as The Greatest Bar takes game one, 10-1. Robby McClean (3 hits) and Cody Demers (3 hits) both enjoyed a productive night at the plate for the Bar while John Walsh made some highlight reel plays in the field for Layla's. Layla's will look for some offense when they meet again for game two on Thursday (Aug 1st).

Shane O'Halloran (3 hits, 2B, 3 RBI), Robby McClean (3 hits), Cory Wasylow (3 hits), and Ryan Sheldon (grand slam) all contributed to the Bar's victory along with five strong innings pitched from steady, Josh Boulos.  (7) The Spot Clothing (3-13)
vs
 (2) Silkworms (8-8)
Game 1: Monday, Jul. 22 @ 9pm

The Spot 19 - Silkworms 17 (8 innings)

If game one was an indication of things to come, then this series is going the distance. The Spot, playing in their first playoff game, built a 17-4 lead and were three outs away from the "mercy rule" being called. However, The Greatest Bar six runs in the bottom of the fifth and then Connor Whooley tied it with a three-run homerun in the SEVEN run seventh inning. Mercy!

The drama was building and this one was about to slip out of the Spot's hands. However, in the top of the eighth, Joe Provenzano (3 hits, 2B, 3B, 3 runs) led off with a triple and then scored on Kevin Moran's (3 hits, HR, 5 RBI) SAC fly, 18-17. Matt Greeley (3 hits) doubled and later scored on a Thomas Fitzpatrick (3 hits) single, 19-17. The Silkworms got the leadoff batter on but he was erased on a close double play. Pitcher, Mike Capuzzo, then got the last out on a fly ball to left and that was the ball game.

After watching two close calls go against them, the Greatest Bar felt robbed and were understandably upset. They were just about to unload their anger on the umpire when their teammate, Connor Whooley, calmly grabbed his player(s) and said something to diffuse the entire situation. That's leadership - way to go Connor!

Along with Whooley, The Greatest Bar were led by Matt Needle (3 hits), Pat Curran (3 hits), and Sean Dean (3 hits). The Spot's Kevin McCarthy (3 hits) and Danny Martinez (3 hits, 2B, 3B, 4 RBI) contributed key hits to the winning cause.

Silkworms 20 - The Spot Clothing 5

Nick Maini hit TWO homeruns in the top of the third inning for the Silkworms as they even up the series against The Spot and force game three, 20-5. Maini's homers came in the eleven run third inning and that was pretty much the ball game. Austin Fanning (2 hits, HR, 4 RBI) homered and picked up the impressive win on the mound for the Worms. Player coach, Danny Lynch (2 hits) will need to rally his team for game three which is set for Monday - it should be a good one.

vs
 (3) Roza Lyons (7-9)
Game 1: Wednesday, Jul. 24 @ 9pm

Seapoint 13 - Roza Lyons 19

Roza Lyons squandered an early 5-1 lead but recovered in time to take game on of this best of three series, 19-13. Bob Chmiel (3 hits, 2B, HR), Anthony O'Leary (2B, HR, 4 RBI), and Patrick Cooke (3 hits, HR) enjoyed a great night at the plate with all three going deep. Cooke was just as impressive on the mound as he hurled seven innings while allowing just three earned runs. Ryan Pfeffer (4 hits) and Owen Bligh (3 hits) paced the Seapoint attack which had the lead twice in this game. They will have their backs against the wall on Monday and will need a clutch performance from their core players.

Roza Lyons 6 - Seapoint Slammers 9

Facing a must win, Cole Tognarelli hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to put Seapoint ahead and then they scored three more in the bottom of the sixth to clip Roza, 9-6, and force a deciding game three.

Pat Pickup earned the win on the mound as he stayed out of the big inning by allowing just one walk and scattered twelve Roza Lyons hits. Pickup and Seapoint won't have much time to enjoy this one as both teams will be back at it tomorrow for the series deciding game.

Game 3: Tuesday, Jul. 30 @ 6pm

Seapoint Slammers 11 - Roza Lyons 12

Sometimes they save the best for last and that was what took place here tonight - game three was a classic back-and-forth M Street Softball battle. It didn't start that way as Roza Lyons jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Bob Chmiel and Connor Meagher each homered. However, Seapoint flexed their own muscles and responded with two homeruns of their own to tie the game. In the second, Marc Lavalley went deep making it 6-2. With a run already across in the third, Ian McDonald smoked a three-run home run over the fence in center and we were tied, 6-6.

Seapoint took a brief lead in the top of the fourth when Roza's lapse of defense led to two unearned runs, 8-7. However, their offense picked them up when they took advantage of several (7) walks in the third and fourth innings to plate four more runs and go back on top, 10-8. Seapoint answered with two long balls in the fifth - Bryce Grundy and then Ian McDonald hit his second ball over the fence in left, 10-10!

We moved onto the sixth where pitcher Patrick Cooke retired the side in order - Roza was now looking to take the lead again. With two runners on base and one out, another costly Seapoint error plated the go ahead run for Roza, 11-10. Nick Hicks then singled to drive in another unearned run and Roza was in front 12-10.

It was last call for Seapoint and they made it VERY interesting. Cole Tognarelli hit a one out single which then brought the top of the order to the plate. Ryan Pfeffer reached on an error and Tognarelli took third on the play. Grundy then hit a ball to third which was handled cleanly and thrown to second to get the force out - Tognarelli scoring on the play, 12-11. Seapoint was down to their last out and had Ian McDonald on deck...just waiting and hoping he would get his chance to hit home run number three. It didn't happen - Cooke produced another ground out and Roza was advancing on a hard fought game three victory.

It should be noted that Marc Lavalley hadn't thrown a pitch from the mound all season but took the ball for Seapoint here in game three and almost led them to victory.

 (5) Shea's Tavern (7-9)
vs
 (4) Shannon Tavern (7-9)
Game 1: Thursday, Jul. 25, 6pm

Shea's Tavern 9 - Shannon Tavern 15

Early control trouble (5 walks) led to eleven runs which put Shea's Tavern in a deep hole that they were not able to recover from here in game one. Paul Chartier (2 hits, HR, 4 RBI) and Ian Campbell both went deep in the second and for a minute it looked like the rout was on.

However, Shea's kept chipping away scoring a pair of runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings and got as close as 11-9. But pitcher Ray Brewer (3 earned runs) shut them out over the final two innings and that would be as close as they would get, 15-9.

Game 2: Tuesday, Jul. 30 @ 7:30

Shannon Tavern 8 - Shea's Tavern 10

Not having hit a home run all season long was not in the way of Quillen Bradlee in the bottom of the seventh tonight. With Shea's just tying the score (8-8), Bradlee sent one over the fence in left to give Shea's the dramatic series tying victory. Prior to that, Shannon was looking like they were going to advance to the next series - let's unpack the game.

Shannon jumped out to a 4-0 lead when Nick Venora ripped a three run homerun onto First Street. Scott Morrison followed in the fifth with a solo homerun and Shannon was in front 5-0. Shea's put a run on the board in the bottom of the second but it was significant at the time.

Dom DiSano hit another home run in the third giving Shannon a 6-1 lead. At this point, the home runs were great but they weren't as damaging as they were all solo shots. Shea's answered the bell in the bottom of the third as their two table setters (Ryan Wynns and Mike Dalessio) scored on RBI singles, 6-3. They added two more runs in the fourth making it 6-4 Shannon.

We had a scoreless fifth and then the teams traded single runs in the sixth, 7-6 Shannon. Ryan McDonald homered in the top of the seventh to put Shannon ahead by a pair of runs. Would it be enough? Back to back singles by Mike Nelson and Carter Swaebe started the bottom of the seventh off for Shea's. An error in the outfield brought both runners home and we had a tied game, 8-8. Bradlee stepped into the batter's box and BANG - it was over - homerun!

Game 3: Monday, Aug. 5 @ 730

Shea's Tavern 16 - Shannon Tavern 10

Mike Ferrara (4 hits, 4 runs) hit a three-run home run in the top of the first giving Shea's a lead that they never relinquished here in game three. Mike Dalessio (5 hits, 4 runs), Alex Bergeron (2 hits, 6 RBI), and Ryan Wynns (3 hits) provided Shea's with offensive punch when needed.

Shannon's stuck around in this one and were within a rally away from tying it but it just wasn't to be. With one last chance in the bottom of the seventh, Jake Brawley (3 hits) and Dom Disano reached base for Ray Brewer who sent one into the night sky for a three-run homerun. However, it wasn't enough as Shea's prevails and moves ahead to the semi-finals.
